I will never forget how helpful you were to me
\nwhen I started my work helping the elderly.
\nAn African American woman, you treated
\npeople of all races the same in your loving
\nand compassionate lifetime of service to
\nthe sick, the dying, the homeless,
\nthe poor, and the elderly.<\/p>\n
For your years of dedicated service, you
\ndeserved the street named after you:
\nDorothy Brown Street, and the many
\naccolades you were honored with for
\nyour incomparable compassion and
\nall that you did selflessly for others.<\/p>\n
I regret I was in the Philippines when you died
\nand never got to go to your funeral.<\/p>\n
Years later when I returned to America and
\nsettled back in Greensboro, I tried to find
\nyour gravesite, but I could never find it
\nto pay you homage and thanks for all the
\nhelp you gave me for finding services
\nand resources to better serve the
\nmany seniors needing help
\nin our community.<\/p>\n
It is my hope that when I die,
\nI\u2019ll see you again to thank you for being
\nthe wonderful human being you were and
\nfor your exemplary service to others,
\nand your expertise you shared with me.<\/p>\n
