I\u2019m reading a poetry book beginning at the
\nend of it. but, trust me, I\u2019m not a half wit.<\/p>\n
What! You say that sounds odd. I have to agree,
\ntrying to be an objective critic of me.<\/p>\n
But hear me out and you might see the method
\nin my oddness is far from insanity.<\/p>\n
I began by reading the book from the start,
\nbut felt the poems had no heart.<\/p>\n
So to in an attempt to put my dislike in the past,
\nI thought maybe the best were saved for last.<\/p>\n
Now maybe that was crazy and my thinking was
\nhazy.<\/p>\n
But like a crescendo, and I write this with no
\ninnuendo, the poems at the ending were
\nbetter, more heartrending and mind bending.<\/p>\n
