My friend, Don, fed up with women,
\nchose a life size doll instead of a real woman
\nat an exorbitant cost of $3,000.<\/p>\n
I said that\u2019s a high price tag for a doll.
\nDon said, \u201cIt\u2019s a bargain compared to how
\nmuch money I\u2019ve blown on women.\u201d<\/p>\n
I let the conversation go at that,
\nbut wondered if Don had lost his mind,
\nand, besides, I wondered what would
\nhe and the doll he called Alma talk about?<\/p>\n
I got the answer a week later when I
\nvisited Don and Alma, and Don spoke to
\nher as if she was carrying on a conversation
\nwith him.<\/p>\n
A year later, Don got really crazy and said
\nAlma had died of cancer and he had buried
\nher in his backyard.<\/p>\n
Two weeks later, Don showed up at my apartment
\nwith a crazed look in his eyes. <\/p>\n
\u201cAlma\u2019s haunting me!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
I said, \u201cMaybe you should see a shrink.\u201d<\/p>\n
Offended, Don stomped out of my apartment
\nand yelled he needed an exorcist and not a shrink.<\/p>\n
Days later, worried about Don, I visited him at his
\nhouse and found him dead in his backyard with
\na resurrected, dirt covered Alma on top of him.<\/p>\n
The police said he died of a massive heart attack,
\nand joked about the doll, which I absconded with,
\nsprayed holy water on, and burned to ashes just in case. <\/p>\n
