A widow she lives alone
\nher husband of sixty years
\ndied a year ago
\nand is buried in
\nForest Lawn Cemetery
\nshe visits his gravesite
\nexcept when it\u2019s raining
\nlike her tears that keep falling
\nshe thinks of him
\nand feels like crying again
\nand wishes she had died too
\nand it\u2019s been so unbearable
\nstarting her life all over
\nalone and without him
\nshe hopes and she prays
\nshe\u2019ll be with him again
\nafter all those happy years
\nthat were mostly like heaven<\/p>\n
dying from a terminal cancer
\nshe lays down in her bed
\ncloses her eyes and
\nfeels her life ending
\nshe opens her eyes
\nright before she dies
\nand sees her husband
\nabove her in white light
\nsmiling and holding out
\nhis hand toward her
\nher soul leaves her body
\nshe smiles and takes his hand
\nand hand in hand heart to heart
\nthey float up to heaven
