According to the legend in Shingo, Japan,
\nwhen Jesus was 21 he visited Japan to
\n\u201cpursue knowledge of Divinity for 12 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
At age 33, he traveled back to Judea to start
\nhis mission, but the people in Judea did not
\naccept him as the Son of God, and decided
\nto crucify him.<\/p>\n
Jesus brother, named Isukiri, took Jesus’s
\nplace on the cross and was crucified while
\nJesus escaped back to Japan and settled
\nthere in Shingo and had 3 children with
\na Japanese woman he married called
\nMiyuko.<\/p>\n
Until his death at 106, he shared wisdom
\nand kindness with the village people, though
\nhe was not said to have performed any
\nmiracles there.<\/p>\n
He is claimed to be buried in Shingo in a tomb
\nunder a mound embedded with a large wooden cross
\nstanding about 6 feet high. <\/p>\n
The burial site is considered a shrine that
\npilgrims visit and report feeling a profound
\nsense of peace there.<\/p>\n
