I always liked the idea of Justice for All.
\nIt had a right and true ring to it.
\nBut early on, or later on, I learned
\nthe fallacy of it.<\/p>\n
Pray you have God and his angels
\nin your corner if you go to court as
\na poor person wrongly accused by
\na rich person with a team of high
\ndollar slick lawyers.<\/p>\n
Odds are things won\u2019t end well for you,
\nand justice for all will not be for you.<\/p>\n
But you already know this and probably
\nhave seen it acted out many times in the news.
\nAnd you know that often you get the
\njustice you can afford. <\/p>\n
And if you\u2019re rich enough to hire a team
\nof the best lawyers money can buy,
\nyou might be able to get away with murder
\nor, at the least, a far lighter sentence than
\na less monied man or woman.<\/p>\n
I like the idea of justice for all
\nbut it\u2019s just not true. <\/p>\n
