The teenage twins had been nice,
\nhappy guys, always a smile, always fun
\nwhen they lived in the small city
\nof Woburn, Massachusetts where
\nI lived too.<\/p>\n
Their family moved to a larger city,
\nArlington, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
And the twins morphed into something
\nunimagined, unbelievable.<\/p>\n
I and a friend met them a year later
\nin Arlington, and they had hardened.<\/p>\n
They spoke of gang fighting, kicking
\nass and using high kicks to win fights
\nby kicking guys in their heads.<\/p>\n
They even looked different, like
\nhardcore hoodlums with hard eyes.<\/p>\n
On the night we were with them
\nin Arlington, they invited us to a
\ngang war with some preppy
\nguys<\/p>\n
which started just as we wisely
\nhightailed it back to Woburn.<\/p>\n
I will never forget how a mere
\nmove to another city changed
\nthose twins for the worst.<\/p>\n
And thinking about them, I
\nwonder if they ever changed
\nback to the nice guys they
\nwere, or did some crazy
\ncriminal things and went
\nto jail for years or for life.<\/p>\n
