Rabbits scurrying outside my apartment
\nFar from forests, far from better cover
\nHow they survive and thrive
\nIn the burbs is a mystery to me
\nYet here they live abundantly
\nThough always on edge
\nThey run and hide when they see me
\nHow I wish they weren\u2019t afraid of me
\nAnd knew I\u2019d never harm them
\nHow I wish we could be friends
\nIt would be so serendipitous
\nIf one day they ran to me
\nWhen they saw me outside
\nHappy to see me and
\nMaybe wanting to be petted by me<\/p>\n
