last night in a dream
\ni had a conversation
\nabout war with a man
\nas bizarre as that
\nmay seem<\/p>\n
i said one would think
\nby now humankind
\nwould be beyond wars<\/p>\n
he disagreed and said
\nwar is in our genes
\nhumans are innately
\nviolent and
\nwe\u2019ll always have wars<\/p>\n
i said no way, screw you,
\nand punched him in the face<\/p>\n
just kidding<\/p>\n
sadly the dream guy may
\nhave been right<\/p>\n
but i look for a better
\nfuture where humankind
\nwill evolve beyond
\nthe senselessness of wars
\nand the killing of one another<\/p>\n
though it may be just
\na dream<\/p>\n
