\nabout how he might be falling in love<\/p>\n
it occurs to me i have forgotten
\nthat most euphoric feeling<\/p>\n
and haven\u2019t falling in love for over
\n15 years<\/p>\n
and that i listen to romantic songs,
\nmy favorites, way too much<\/p>\n
right now i\u2019m listening to an old romantic
\nsong by the babys <\/p>\n
every time i think of you<\/p>\n
and oh how it moves my heart
\nand i am almost able to imagine<\/p>\n
the feelings, the needs, the wants
\nin those loving words<\/p>\n
speaking of thinking
\nsometimes i think to myself
\nmaybe i shouldn\u2019t listen to those
\nsongs that harken back to times
\nwhen i knew the ecstasy, the highs, of
\nfalling in love and how good it felt<\/p>\n
so i find an ac\/dc hard rock song
\non youtube, turn up the volume
\non my computer,
\nand blast those sappy feelings
\nout of my overly sentimental mind<\/p>\n
just kidding<\/p>\n
i\u2019ve reached an age where hard rock
\nand raucously loud music no longer
\nappeal to me<\/p>\n
so i stick to mellow soft rock romantic
\nlove songs like the one i\u2019m listening to
\nnow about a guy who wants a second chance<\/p>\n
and i’m feeling his sincerity as though i
\nwronged a woman’s heart and i’m pleading
\nwith her to take me back<\/p>\n
i laugh at foolishness of that
\nmy heart out of control for a moment
