Brought up lower class
\nA family that barely got by
\nShe lacked the advantages
\nThe material goods,
\nThe private schools,
\nThe privileges
\nThe importance
\nOf the higher classes
\nUpon graduating from
\nHigh School with average grades
\nShe went to work in a can factory
\nMarried and bore three children
\nHad an ups and down life
\nBut it was a good life
\nHarming no one
\nDoing her best
\nTrying to always be kind
\nHaving higher morals than most
\nMaintaining a loving marriage
\nRaising children lovingly<\/p>\n
I say in the greater scheme of things
\nHer life was just as significant as yours
\nWhether you are richer than her
\nOr deemed more important
\nOr have attained worldly prominence.
\nMore so because as with her
\nIn the passage of time
\nHundreds thousands of years and more
\nYou will be of no more significance than her. <\/p>\n
