I will probably never get over
\nwhat aging does to women
\nthe beauties of my generation
\nare no more<\/p>\n
like faded flowers, villainous aging
\nrobs them of their beauty
\nsteals their overall allure<\/p>\n
cruelly the theft of their beauty
\nhas sometimes led to unkind
\npeople <\/p>\n
referring to them as hags
\nan inexcusable, unwarranted
\naffront<\/p>\n
shame on them<\/p>\n
I shouldn\u2019t be bothered so much
\nby aging\u2019s theft, and of course
\nit happens to men as well <\/p>\n
but it saddens me beyond measure
\nwhen I see time and time again
\nthe effects of the years <\/p>\n
on the beauties of the past
\nand sadly, many of them are dead.<\/p>\n
