ran over old woman with her car
\nwho appeared from behind a bus<\/p>\n
she sprang out of her car
\nrushed over to the woman
\nsaid she was sorry
\ndraped her jacket around
\nher, and the woman looked
\ninto her eyes as she died<\/p>\n
she was charged with manslaughter
\nsent to jail for years
\nshe never got over
\naccidentally killing the old woman<\/p>\n
many years later, living alone
\nshe was about to kill herself
\nthe guilt still too much too bare
\nas she thought about killing herself
\nshe felt a presence behind her
\nthat began holding her<\/p>\n
she knew it was the gentle spirit
\nof the old woman
\nsaw a flash of her face
\nand she felt no fear
\nthe old woman\u2019s spirit comforted her
\nwith forgiveness that purged all the guilt
\nand sorrow out of the forlorn woman<\/p>\n
Sometimes in this
\nworld of suffering and sorrow
\nmiracles like this happen
\nmiraculous, tender mercies.<\/p>\n
