Fentanyl caused 199 deaths daily in 2023
\nover a quarter of a people died from it since 2021
\nprobably none of them known by you or me
\nbut what a goddamn shame all these people
\nhave been literally executed by this demon drug
\nit\u2019s easy to blow it off; they\u2019re not you or me
\nbut they\u2019re somebody, once a child who
\nwas held in a mother\u2019s arms, an innocent babe
\nthat had such promise for living a good life
\nit\u2019s so sad and so tragic that that child
\ngrew up to only to die from a drug
\nthe promise gone, the lights out, to many
\njust another fentanyl statistic, nothing more
\nto some probably losers who got their due
\nbut they were just people, like you and like me
\nwho probably didn\u2019t have the advantages
\nthe genetics, the mental faculties, the luck
\nof millions of more fortunate others
\nlike those born into near perfect lives
\nwith excellent mental and physical health
\ngreat genetics, decent nurturing families
\nno horrendous tragedies that break them
\nand probably less breakable minds
\nmy hope is in the afterlife those who
\ndied from that murderous, demon-like drug
\nget a chase to do a redo for a better outcome
\nin the afterlife or back in this lesser life.<\/p>\n
