A killer storm is rising
over weakened countries
their cultures on the brink
of the coming annihilation
unwittingly abetted by
their oblivious leaders
despite the people’s protests
many of them sent to prison
real patriots silenced
real patriots shut away
the others unable to prevent
the rising, unstoppable doom
