Tu Fu where are you?
Did you become one
with the Tao
or are you still writing
poems somewhere in
the afterlife?
I image you somewhere
with zithers playing
and orioles singing
and maybe drinking
cups of heavenly wine
with Li Po and other
great Chinese poets
and still writing beautiful
8th century poems
in celestial mountains
where dragons and
phoenixes decorate
crystalline skies.
