UFOs Going In and Out of Water According to a Government Official

A Government official
said he’s seen videos
where UFOs go into
and out of the water,
as if it’s not there.

I’ve heard of this many
times before, but never
from the lips of a
government official.

I’ve also read of UFOs
hovering over nuclear sites.

Some UFOlogists believe
if the nukes are about to be
unleashed, aliens will prevent
the nuclear annihilation of
our human race.

I like the thought of that.
I’d prefer aliens be benevolent
instead of malevolent,
saviors of our world
rather than destroyers of it.

eternal romantic love

never liked it when
in a song or a movie
the singer or the actor
said
i will love you till the day i die

because

i liked
i will love you forever
better

and i believe
romantic love
might be forever

because

in deathbed visions
a spouse
whose spouse
has preceded
her or him in death
sees the deceased
spouse in white light

waiting
loving
welcoming
her or him
into the afterlife

and i believe
that could
be
a validation
of romantic love
forever

and i believe
those that don’t
find that forever
in this life
might find it
in the afterlife

uncontrolled

i never thought
when i was
retired i’d even
think about
being
uncontrolled
not controlled
by a boss
by time
by work
by obligations
by deadlines
by presentations
but now
that i am
retired
i revel
in living
free and
uncontrolled
for the
remainder
of my
work free
uncontrolled
liberated life

A Glowing Review of Roses Discount Stores

I love Roses Discount Stores
Like a mini Walmart
Without the ubiquitous
Hordes of shoppers
Hassles of long checkouts
Minus the hassles
Of jammed up parking lots
Though Roses doesn’t have
As many goods as Walmart
It’s got enough for me
What I can’t find there
I can buy online
And shopping there
Is like a pleasure cruise
Compared to what
At Walmart is a
Titanic-like disastrous
Shopping experience for me
And this is an objective
Critique of Roses
Even though they
Gave me a $300 gift
Certificate to write this
Glowing review about them

I’m just kidding about the
$300 gift certificate
Spoofing reviewers on
Amazon who claim they are
Writing objective reviews after
Being given free products
Obvious bribes
By the companies they are
Writing the glowing
Reviews about

Some Believe the Earth is Hollow

Populated by advanced humans
Some say
Others say aliens
Whatever they are
If they exist
They live in absolute peace
Which we lack above the earth
A sun inside the hollow earth too
Fruits and vegetables grow
Much larger there than on earth
Men and women grow taller
And they live longer
The inner world extends from
The north pole to the south pole

Heard an extremely intelligent guy
Talking about this on Coast to Coast
He spoke with complete confidence
And unflagging believe in the hollow earth
Despite having never seen it
But he said the earth rings like a bell
After an earthquake
Which to him meant it was hollow
Like a Bell
And to my surprise
He was right about the ringing

It was enjoyable hearing his
Detailed descriptions
Of an inner earth with life and a sun
A captivating tale
A fascinating conspiracy theory
That I just cannot believe

But to put my tin hat on
For a far reaching moment
I have an enduring fascination
With Bigfoot and believe
Given over 75,000 alleged sightings
All those people reporting the sightings
Cannot all be liars or pranksters
But since there seems not to be
Any Bigfoot corpses
Any creditable films
And no concrete proof
I can only speculate if Bigfoot is real
He must be interdimensional
And this is not my exclusive theory
A theory held by many
That I find plausible

Memories of Falling in Love

She becomes beautiful in his eyes
Most beautiful woman on the planet
His heart endlessly captivated
By her womanly ways
By her enchanting charms

Other women no longer exist
No matter how beautiful
No matter how alluring
He cannot see them

He cannot stop thinking
About her
Sweet thoughts of her
Always in his mind
Every minute of every hour
Every day and every night

Wants to be with her
As much as possible
And forever and ever
His heart aches
When away from her
He cannot live without her

She’s everything he
Ever wanted
The joy he feels with her
Must be like heaven

A single look from her
A single touch of her hand
His heart melts
A single kiss
His heart in heaven
All gone now
Lost in time

Young men
Bursting with life
And dreams
Have their romances
Alone old men
Have only
Their memories

Advanced Civilizations on Earth Before Ours

I believe in the estimated 4.54 billion years
that earth has existed
that other advanced civilization may have
have inhabited this planet millions of
years before our civilization.

I find it more than plausible and suspect
that someday science will confirm it.

Imagine what a find that would be.
Imagine if an advanced civilization or
civilizations had been buried deep in
the earth after the millions of years
and changes in and on the planet.

I would like to see that day come
before I die and I become buried
deep in time and eventually what
is left of me vanishes into the
earth and is forgotten just like
ancient civilizations
might have been.

Bob Boyd

Just like singer Sammy Hagar Couldn’t Drive 55, I Can’t Play Bingo.

Yeah, I know there’s quite a difference
between exceeding the speed limit
and putting chips on numbers on bingo cards.

But for me the restraints of a 55 miles
an hour speed limit is comparable to the
restraints of sitting at a table and putting
dinky chips on those cards.

Truth be known, I’d rather be driving
faster than 55 on an open highway
than sitting in a boxed in room mindlessly
putting chips on freakin’ bingo cards.

But if I get hard up and get so de lu lu
that I feel the need for one of those
so called “age appropriate” (hate
that expression) women in my
reclusive life, or if I became brain dead
enough, maybe I’d go play bingo for amore
or for something mentally challenging
to do.

Bob Boyd

But, kidding aside, I can see how for many people bingo provides a source of socialization. For seniors who are alone, it can add some time with people in their lives and probably be beneficial to their mental and physical wellbeing. I write that as someone who worked with the elderly for decades, and when I walked through the senior center of the nonprofit I worked at, I saw many old people having fun playing bingo.

De Lu Lu, Cray Cray, Et Cetera

Heard the slang word de lu lu for the first time today, had a feeling it meant cray cray.

Amazing how new slang words come and go and popular words and expressions too.

I can remember a time when cool things and cool people were heavy and something really amazing was outtasight, or it might have been far out.

I can remember visiting a guru in upstate New York and a young woman who sat next to him at his talks who always said – Excellent! Excellent! ad nauseum, as if the guru had given her that word as her parrot-like mantra. Squawk. Squawk.

And there was a time when bread that you put peanut butter on and even put cheese between the slices of it was considered currency.

For example, “Hey, Man, what’s happening? You got any bread to pay for the tickets to that Grateful Dead Concert?”

And speaking of bread, I recall how when toast became more than bread you heated up in a toaster. And believe me if you valued your reputation or your life, you didn’t want to be toast.

Now I always hear people talking about seeing things through a lens or having to unpack things like topics instead of luggage.

Do they need these lenses because they feel there’s a lack of mental acuity in the world?

And why go to the trouble of unpacking a topic when you can just talk about it? Why include that unnecessary baggage about it?

But in terms of all these slang words and popular expressions, I guess it just is what it is.

Later, time for me to split.
