God may very well be impersonal.
Many prayers do not get answered.
Prayers you would think a personal God
would respond to, like a child or a woman
forced into prostitution whose prayers
seem to be never heard, who suffers
despite her pleading prayers to God.
But even if prayers go unanswered, it
feels more comforting to feel that God
is personal and always there to talk to.
I lean to believing God is impersonal,
but I still pray and talk to God is if God
is personal because it feels so empty
praying or trying to relate to an impersonal
God. But I cannot figure out why a personal
God does not answer more prayers and
help more desperate and suffering people.
Maybe when I die I’ll find out.
