Supposedly the dead
can show the living
signs that they are well
that everything is okay
once after I learned a
friend had died years
after he passed away
I wrote a poem to him
a week later I saw him
happy in a lucent dream
maybe you’ve had dreams
of the dead you knew too,
many are those who do.
