Hey God, got a question for you.
Why so much killing in this world?
Weeds killing plants.
Insects killing insects.
Some insects killing birds.
And all the way up the chain
Wholesale killings everywhere.
Survival of the fittest it is said.
But why all these slaughters
As if you approved of them?
What about the carnage
Even in the cosmos
Black holes devouring stars?
Is all this mumble jumble
Peace and love talk just
Nonsense in a world
That feeds on killings
For creation to survive?
Excuse me if these questions
Are inconvenient or out of place,
But in all honesty, I’d ask you
Them face to Face.
