Liza Lella (1977-1977)

Right out of the womb stricken with cancer,
Poor little Liza Lella coming into the world like that.
The compassionate cancer doctor did what she could,
And Liza cried all the way through the ineffective treatments.
The doctor and the parents quietly thought to themselves
Why would a loving God allow this infant to suffer?
Little Liza Lella died at only six months old.
The doctor and her parents cried and cried at the injustice of it.
Unbeknownst to them little Liza Lella was happy in heaven
Spared from the murder that awaited her at age eighteen.
