You may see this world as your home.
I do not.
How could this impermanence be one’s home
when we are only sojourners here?
At best, one might stay here a hundred years,
a blink in the eyes of eternity.
More likely the afterlife is our true home.
I see it as permanence.
Of course, you could believe there’s nothing
after death.
If you are right, and you could be, I would
see that as permanence as well.
