The older i grow
the more people
i know
and know of
in the afterlife

if i keep on living
i’ll know
and know of
more people
on the other side

than on this
living side of life
that is living
in bodies

i’ll know
more of those
living in spirits
the disembodied

and i
look forward
to leaving
this old body
and joining
them

reborn and renewed
in the reunion
of the dead
