Beguiled by a Gaelic Muse

A fairy known as Leanan Sidhe
came to me in the night
took me for her lover

too beautiful for any mortal man
to ever resist I succumbed
to her irresistible desires

With a single consummation
she became my muse
and I a barely literate man
was gifted with the ability
to write poetry

But alas I learned that
though she is beautiful
beyond all mortal women
she is a malignant fairy
that soon will kill me

Despite knowing she is
going to take my life
I cannot escape
her unbreakable deadly grip
on my beating heart
my dwindling life

her incomparable beauty
her supernatural love
keep me entrapped
in her deathly embrace

and maybe I’ve gone mad
and lost all my senses
but I will gladly surrender
my life to my Leanan Sidhe
and be in love with her forever

The Ground’s New Coat and The Fashionistas

The ground just got a new addition
to its ever changing wardrobe
snow is all over it like a yuletide coat
long past the yearly white Christmas.
The ground is so taken with its new coat
that were it a supermodel in Paris or Milan,
it would be strutting down those catwalks
smiling and waving at the fashionistas
Maybe because it didn’t get to wear
its yuletide coat on Christmas day
when no snow came to decorate it,
the ground is so excited about it now.

OnlyFans Woman’s Screw-a-Thon

She said she slept with 1057 guys in a day.
Bragged about it on her OnlyFans page.

What the hell happened to morality
when a woman brags about something
she should hide her face in shame about?

And what decent guy would ever want
to be with a woman who bragged about
her sordid screw-a-thon to the world?

And, worse, she appears to be proud
of screwing all those slimy guys.

No telling where her future will lead,
hopefully she doesn’t kill herself.

Maybe she’ll have a Come to Jesus
Moment and find God and attempt
to resurrect her dead morality.

Maybe she’ll keep having screw-a-thons
till the day she dies.

Death Is Having a Field Day with My Generation

Finding old friends in the obits,
everybody in my generation
is dying these countdown days.
Death is having a field day
with my aging out generation.

Back in the sixties we rocked,
seemed like we’d live forever.
Now many of us are corpses
No longer forever young.

Some were ecstatic hippies
in the peace and love sixties.
Now they’re flower children
with the flowers in the ground.

It used to be only old people
died en masse all the time.
Now my generation is them
and Death is taking us out.

La Strega (The Witch)

He met her in Italy
while on vacation
from his hectic life in the US.

She was an Italian beauty;
he couldn’t believe
his luck.

A hotel worker
warned him, “She is
la strega, the witch”
he said.

Inwardly, he laughed
at the foolish superstition
and fell in love with
his Italian beauty.

He quit his job in the US
and moved to Italy to
be with her forever.

But he soon saw the evil in her
when she put a curse on a kid
who bumped into her.

The kid died immediately.
She laughed upon
seeing him dead in the street.

After that, he told her it was over
and he was leaving her,
even though he thought
the death was a coincidence.

She screamed a curse at him,
when he was leaving,
and he laughed at her
going out the door.

On the plane flight back
to America, the plane
hit some air pockets,
and for a crazy few moments
he wondered if the
plane was going to crash
because of her curse.

The plane never crashed.
He chided himself for
being so silly when it
landed safely in the US.

When he got home that night
and went to sleep,
he saw la strega in a nightmare
burning him with the fires of hell.

He never woke up
from that nightmare.
When the police found
his charred remains,
they reported he died
from the rare
spontaneous combustion.

The 50s Actress Sheila Noonan

There’s hardly any information
about her

except she was born in LA
and in her 20s worked
as a saleslady in a
department store

before she became an actress
in the 50s and is known
or unknown for a horror movie,
Beast From Haunted Cave.

Not even Wikipedia gives
her any love. Not a word
about her there.

On a blog called DWRAGER DUNGEON
she gets some love as a “horror gal”
who did three other horror movies
and began her acting career
with a role on Gunsmoke in 1957.

Her last movie was Ski Troop Attack
in 1960 when she left the Hollywood starlights
and married a painter named John MacEllari.
After that she faded into the obscurity
that most of use live in and all of us
even the famous and the infamous
will eventually vanish into.

Appreciations to Sheila Noonan
for the entertainment she brought
to the world with her comely appearance
and her fine acting.

She died in 2019.
RIP lovely, talented lady.
