Hey You Somewhere

Yes I’m talking to you, my ex in the afterlife.
Will we meet again when I expire?
Will our hearts be on fire?
You were exceptionally nice, but you left
me alone too much,
more interested in spending time with your
friends than with me.
Yet, when I left, you tried for years to get me back
despite not appreciating me when you had me.
My guess is in the afterlife there will be no fire
in our hearts
only unconditional love for each other and everyone.

In Love With Her Career More Than Her Secondary Marriage

She loves her career more than him,
and she’s married to it.

She spends more time at work
than with him, her real husband.

My forecast for her marriage is
cloudy with intermittent storms

and maybe a devastating hurricane
that will tear it apart

with her and her neglected husband
seeking shelter in separate directions

and her staying faithful to her
career after the devastation

of her secondary marriage.

The Woman in My Dreams and The Big Sleep

I’m having a dream and minding my
own business, per usual.

A young, attractive blonde haired woman
slips into the dream.

Were talking, connecting, despite me being
monk-like in the real world.

I’m becoming into her, liking her, wanting
to talk to her more in the future.

The scene shifts. I’m walking somewhere
having doubts and hopes,

maybe it could work out inspite of the age
difference; no, impossible, I’m too old for her.

I wake up groggy and wonder why I sometimes
have unrequited dreams of women like that,

and if as some claim, dreams are really visits
to astral planes.

Maybe when my I go into The Big Sleep, I’ll
wake up in the afterlife and find out.
