First, she brought joy to his heart.
He couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Her smile lit up his entire life.
Spending time with her was like
living in a paradise on earth.
Eventually, they married,
and they were such a happy couple.
Then she got a job where she
met many new female friends.
Not long after that, she began
spending more time with her
new friends than with him.
And his life became like a
country western song,
“Isn’t It Lonely Together.”
Despite many arguments,
she never changed her ways,
until he had to escape the
gnawing loneliness.
He left the paradise on earth
that became a paradise lost.
