You hear of ghosts everywhere
in houses, churches, lighthouses,
and even in haunted dolls.
Why can’t these dead people just
stay dead instead of being
so mischievous, so scary?
Or, if there’s an afterlife, why
can’t the dead move on?
Why stick around in musty
old haunts when you could
go to the Light and have
a better afterlife than what
has to be a boring one?
But, no, they’d rather stagnant
in those musty old haunts and
occasionally get buzzed by
having a scare or two.
I don’t know why, do you?
