He knows the Reaper is stalking him,
tried to take his life twice.
But he’s no longer concerned about
the Reaper.
He’s lived a full life and living too
long has no appeal for him,
more medical conditions or complaints,
possibly a dementia, loss of independence.
So he thumbs his nose at the Reaper
and patiently awaits his turn to be
taken out of this world by him and into
what he believes is a better life.
